The tournament was special in its unique format. For the second year in a row, athletes have competed in the basketball court 2 against 2 matches. As many as 35 teams competed in the four age groups and there were more than 100 participants. We are glad that basketball players from other regions already know about this tournament, so teams from Mažeikiai and Kaunas districts competed in Venta on Friday. However, the winners' cups remained in Akmenė district, the winners of all age groups were Akmenė district teams. Sport brings together people of all ages and genders. In the two youngest age groups, the girls' teams were equally fought alongside the guys, and perhaps only the fortune-tellers could not win their laurels.

LLI-237, “Creating a Network of Healthy Basketball Enthusiasts in the Venta River Communities” with the main goal of creating an international network of healthy basketball enthusiasts in the Saldus and Akmenė districts.
